Host Hotel Announcement
The Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, the Host Hotel for the inaugural Lakeshore Marathon, is providing a special event room rate of $149 per night for the Lakeshore Marathon Event Expo and premier Lakeshore Marathon, Thursday, April 18th through Sunday, April 21st. A Late Check-out will also be provided to marathon participants on Sunday, April 21st .

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers is located at 301 East North Water Street, on the SE corner of East North Water Street and Columbus Avenue, directly north, walking distance, to the Lakeshore Marathon Start/Finish. The Start/Finish area is on Columbus between Balbo Dr. and Roosevelt Rd. in Grant Park in downtown Chicago.

Confirmed entries for the inaugural Lakeshore Marathon shows 45% female / 55% male, from 418 cities across 35 states and 8 countries. Entrants are from AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, Canadian Provinces of Ontario and Quebec, Cayman Islands, Czech Republic, England, Ireland, Scotland and Mexico.

Fifteen states and how many countries still to go? Come on, join in the fun! The inaugural Lakeshore Marathon is comfortably under the 6000 runner cap and looks to be a very fun and most enjoyable run through the park along Chicago's scenic Lake Michigan shoreline.
